Welcome to the world of 2011, a world far different from anything that could have been expected. It is a time where being different is viewed as dangerous, where a select form of the government, called the Elite, run everything. It is the job of the Elite to protect the normal citizens of the world form those who are above average. These people who are considered above average were once viewed as gifted because of their abilities. They now go by the name of Degenerates.
It all started in 1980, when the people of the world began to fear those who were considered super human and desperate to calm the rising panic, the government hatched a plan. Thus, Safe Haven was formed. It was supposed to be a way to keep the Degenerates safe while also keeping them away from those that feared them. Now however, it is viewed more like a prison.
For thirty years the Degenerates have put up with being treated like third rate citizens and while some are too afraid to do anything, others have had enough. Rumor is that some of the Degenerates have formed a rebel fighting force, one that will eventually get rid of the Elite and all that they stand for. The Elite has also heard of these low spoken whispers and begin to work to squash any attempt of rebellion before it can actually take place, using the excuse that they are fighting to protect the “right” way of life.
Trust has become a thing of the past as both sides find themselves unsure of whom to put faith in. Spies are everywhere and if you haven’t chosen a side, pick wisely.
